Hello i am new to this site.
Okay about a week ago my partner was given a baby rainbow lorikeet. It had been found being eaten by ants.
both of his eyes where closed over and all gunky. We washed them every day and one eye has opened and he can see. Not that he was happy about us being hunam. But now its been 3 or 4 days and the other eye is still closed. He is also happy about humans now.I named him Alfie and he loves to cuddle and climb all over people.
I would like any hints or tips about how to help the closed eye. Please.
He tried to fly today but hit the wall, it was his first flight.
Also can some one let me know how often should i handle him and how long for?
Also if his feet get warm dose that mean anything.
He is really quiet and that worries me as most places say they are very chatty birds. Or is he just a quiet one?
Any help will be amazing as I have never kept any birds before but fell in love with his silly personally.
