Hi all,
I need help with my lorikeet's behaviour. When a lay on the couch I let my male lorikeet climb all over me. He loves to just sit on my leg while he massages his head with his head upside down and then nibbling on my leg. He can do this for hours. The only problem is he has become obsessed with me following me frantically around the house squawking away chasing after me walking across the floor. If I go and sit down, he will just sit next to my foot until I move again. Whenever he gets out of the cage he I straight on me.
I am confused as to why he is like this. I feel like allowing him to sit on my leg and groom and nibble on my leg has contributed to it but what is it with this obsession with me. Even if I go to the bathroom he has to follow me.
