Hi, I'm Cherie and have been a bird lover most of my life. I didn't actually get back into owning them until about 15 years ago. Bred finches - Zebras and Gouldians; King Quail; Budgies for some years. Had aviaries but had to move into smaller place and homeschool my son so now only cages. Many are 'retirees' now! I currently have Zebras, Gouldians, 2 budgies, 2 Quail, my 'widowed' birds alone now are - a Red-Faced Parrot Finch, a Gold-Breasted Waxbill, a Rainbow Lorikeet. I cherish my birds as they have given me so much joy but it's always been heart-breaking to lose cherished members of my flock. I'm a single mum and we just got a new puppy last week after a grieving period of losing our 16 yrs + family member back in January. I'm looking forward to meeting other members here.
