Hi guys, i just bought an alexandrine from my girlfriends dad as he didnt have the time to care for her and he also had other parrots already, aparently the one i go didnt like them. I had it for about 4 days now, at the moment i work a lot and get home late but still try to spend at least an hour or 2 with her before i go to bed everyday. I will post a pic of my cage later if any of you could confirm that it has enough toys i dont think it gets lonley as it spends a lot of time with my girlfriend, mum and sister. It doesnt seem to like my brother haha For the first week or 2 im just leaving pellets to eat in the cage, thankfully shes eating them as aparently she was eating mostly seeds before. After a week i will introduce seeds to start slowly training her. The bird seems to be a bit bity with our hands tho.. every time we try to pick it up it bites first, shes getting better day by day i think.. but do you guys have any extra tips about the biting situation? Also i just made this post so people could post some tips on raising a parrot that has had a previous owner, shes around 18 months old. Any tips are appreciated, thanks!!
