Hi all,
I've just gotten an Alexandrine, and am looking for someone in the know who can help me out.
I've been told he is between 12 and 14 weeks old, although they didn't seem too sure. He is approximately 40cms long and weighs around 200gms.
Food - he has access to Vetafarm Complete Naturals, a small parrot seed mix, and fruit and veg. He doesn't seem too interested in the seed mix, picks at the Vetafarm most of the day, and comes and goes to the fruit and veg. To me he doesn't seem to eat a lot, so I'm a bit worried he isn't getting enough. I really have no idea how much he should be eating quantity wise. Should he be on more of a meal type routine? Where I got him from just his food all ad lib. Also not sure if he was weaned properly as I didn't get him direct from the breeder, which could account for him not eating a lot by himself. His beak is also quite pale, which for all my googling I can only come up with poor nutrition.
Otherwise he seems a pretty happy birdy, coming out of his shell a bit now, we only got him 2 days ago.
Any help or reassurance would be great...
Thanks Mercie
