I have just purchased 2 8 month old galahs from a man on gumtree and I am very glad I did because I am pretty sure they were mistreated with minimal attention. anyway, both birds are very skittish, bitey and certainly untamed. when I or anyone else goes near their cage they lose it and flap their wings and fly to the other side of their cage. I have tamed and hand raised 2 sulfur Too's before but these galahs are very wild, they are beautiful birds though and Id love to be able to give them a nice home (I have a very large aviary in the backyard but they are currently in a 1x1x1 in the house to get them some what settled). Ok back to my initial point, I cannot get my hand close enough to them to bite me let alone using the stick and treat methods. so I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on how to tame these birds because I have no interest in giving them to someone who will treat them like the last owner did. also their wings are not clipped and I don't really plan on it seeing as once they are tame they will have an aviary they can fly around in. They seem quiet close to each together as well so I am not sure whether that might pose a problem or not. Thank you!
P.S. Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place, done the wrong thing or done something wrong etc, this is my first forum I have been in!
