Hi, I found a Pale head Rosella late yesterday on side of road - obviously hit by vehicle - lots of feathers. I took him/her home and kept dark and quiet overnight. He/she seems bright and perky this morning and we've moved it to a cage. It can fly but without tail feathers I wonder if it's unsafe to release it. I've given it a supply of water, grass seeds and wild parrot seeds. I've placed the cage outside so if its partner is nearby it can perhaps be comforted and hang around until I can release him/her. What does everyone/anyone think? I'd appreciate any advice. SE QLD.
