Hey there all. Newby signing on. My names kelly and after a 15 year no parrot hiatus am deciding whether to take on 2 female Eclectus. I used to have an Alexandrine but training mistakes were made and the bird imprinted itself to me and literally was violent to the other members of family and even the dog. Ultimatums ensued and i found myself parrotless after 3 years. Life has changed now, i am older and hopefully birdwise. I made a pro and con list and one thing on the list is bird insurance. Though i have been looking at a few insurers i have yet to come across what kind of monthly fees are required and how much avian vet bills are for some things. If anyone can point me in the right direction i would appreciate it. One company i looked at has a section to put in a quote but its based on me owning a bird thats microchipped otherwise i couldnt go any further. cheers kelly Oh i should mention that the eclectus i am thinking of are siblings and are almost 4 months old.
