Hi everyone I have been a bricklayer since I was 15(40 year) I worked on a job 30 years ago in Sydney the owner wanted me to replace some bricks in a wall that were badly eroded the owner told me that it was birds eating minerals out of certain bricks that they needed while working on the job I saw this with my own eyes and have seen it elsewhere.
I have just been to Port Arthur and saw the same patches of erosion I told a local historian that this was birds.
Could anyone on here confirm this I will be seeing him again in the next couple days and would like to show him that this is possible
