Hi Everyone, my name is Judy, I am actually under the username as Harry at the moment and am trying to get it changed back.  . I own two lorikeets. Harry and Jack. Harry is hand reared and very cheeky, he actually thinks he is human and loves to play and have baths. Harry is about 4months old. Jack is a full-bread male and was a breeder for a female we had (Jill). but unfortunately jill died a few months back for an unknown reason. Jack isnt really tame, although we have tried,he got very argumentative with harry, so we had to separate them. Jack will sit on your shoulder thats about all he will do. And they both whistle. Harry is just starting to talk. We are currently looking for a baby Galah from about 3-4weeks old so that we can hand-rear him/her as we have two boys 8-6. The galah needs to grow with the boys so they all get used to eachother. Harry is very good with them. So if anyone on the forum can help me with this it would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to email me or pm me. We live in Beerburrum, 5mins south of GlassHouse Mountains. Looking forward to finding out more about birdsand their lifestyles.  |
