Frank I was wondering if you had seen this advertisment at Pet Link and if you had any comments regarding the mutation and the price?

Hi John the bird in my avatar is a Pastelface Pastel Silver cock like the one mentioned in the add its not a new mutation but semi rare.By breeding Whiteface Pastel Silvers to a Pastelface normal some of the the offspring will be Pastelface Split to Pastel Silver then place these offspring to wface Pastel silver irrespective of sex and you will breed both wface and Pastelface in Silvers such as those i bred and posted the photos of them growing. If you would like to see them i have photos of both varieties inb my gallery on my web here is the link. Scroll down to the bottom of the page for their photos. If you would like to purchase one let me know cheers Frank members.optusnet.com.au/~frankdl/gallery.html

Stunning birds Frank, am i right in saying that the first 4 on the perch are a male 2 hens and another male or is the lack of colour patch on the face to do with the mutation?

John the first 4 are 2 different varieties the middle 2 are Whitefaced which don't have cheek patches but males display a bright white mask as they mature and the other 2 are the pastelface which relates to the cheek patch being a lemony color instead of the normal red patch in tiels nothing to do with sexing cheers Frank
