Hi Peter, my friend down Mt Barker way is interested in buying a cock and two hens. Is that a suitable combination?
Cheers, Jules

Here is a good site about peafowl you may like. It is eastern states, but still good www.getphpbb.com/phpbb/index.php?mforum=peacocksaustralyes, that would be very suitable! Is he going to pen them? I suggest penning them at first (as they are great flyers) until they settle in, and then let them roam free durin the non-breeding months. When breeding time comes I would cut the hens wings and put them in a safe pen, away from foxes, dogs etc. The male will still sleep in a tree, and fly in and out of the yard to mate with the hens. They can be very loud in the breeding season
