Hi, I was interested in any bird cages that you might have for sale (North Brisbane area only if possible). I got a hold of a large patio aviary but we are going to have to get a couple of cages to separate our birds (remember the 2 gay budgies, well it would seem that I now have 3 vying for each others affections, yes all boys, lol). Please email of PM with any that you have to offer, I went to the markets and all 2nd hand shops but they're selling as quickly as they can get them, it's beginning to look a lot like breeding season :-)

Check out Ebay Shelly. There are some sensational cages on there for nix. Some are xxy but there was one I saw a few weeks ago while looking for a new cage for Boon, that was in Bris, huge cage, playtop, toys 10 perches to swap around $120.00. I have seen this cage on the distributors site in Qld for $330.00.

I'm on Ebay all the time, there is a good one there now with a stand and it's in my suburb but somebody keeps outbidding me. You have to set a limit of you're just not getting a bargain in the end. There are quite a few good ones there at the moment as well but they're so far away, once you factor in petrol (at today's cost!!!) again it's not a bargain.
Thanks for the reply though, much appreciated, I can't think of any other auction sites (they all seem to be closing).

You could try Grays Online. I am not sure if they sell cages though. I have seen some good lots on Ebay though. You can bulk buy some cages like ten or something. They start off with a low price and climb. But you never know if you will get a bargain. You could also try your local dump. Some have a recycling centre and you might be able to get some cheap cages there that only need a good clean. A friend of mine found a cage out the dump and fixed it up. She got it for free cause it was missing a door (simple to fix). That certain cage retailed for almost $100. Great Bargain. Good Luck though. Chloe

Thanks for all the replies, (and personal PM's as well)
We have got a couple of very larges cages, one from a pet shop up in Morayfield and then another one exactly the same for 25% less (grrrrr!!! but that's life).
Now if I can only get the budgies to start laying eggs, I'm stumped, they're just not interested.
