From Robert and Hercules. While I now live in Brisbane,I used to live in Adelaide. Before I left Adelaide,I bought a wonderfull Lovebird Book at The Bird Place Emblem Aviaries 95 Holbrooks Rd Flinders Park Adelaide.8443 4965 .They might still sell this book ,I don't know,But South Aussie might be interest in checking out. The title of this book is LOVEBIRDS TODAY by Karl-Herbert Deply. The book costs 30 Dollars .I cannot imagine it can be bought cheaper, now. If someone can buy it cheaper, then good luck to them.IF I just ordered one ,they would have added 10 dollars surcharge. If a number of copies are ordied, then they would not charge any extra money.Today I just orded Five Copies. The book is worth the money for the pictures alone. There are wonderfull pictures of the different species of Lovebirds, and the differents mutations within. There is a wonderfull picture of A Lutino Nyassa Lovebird. Also I did not know ther was a subspecies within the Nyassa .Also a picture here. Also wonderfull picture of the elusive American pied dull blue.Anyhow that is its name ,though I do not know what is dull about it,as the blue is quite vivid.Understandly if one buys from the Whyalla Bird Society or The Lovebird and Foreign Parrot Society of Queensland, one is normally expected to pay a bit extra to help out that society,or one becomes a member. That is understanble. There is no attempt here to charge any extra.I have ordered these books from Angus & Robertson Brisbane -Post Office Square Shop 1-4 Post Office Square Adelaide Street , Brisbane QLD 4000 Ph 07 32290717 Fax 07 3221 6007 I will tell them about this book at our Lovebird meeting ,this wednesday night .(By the way a good person to speak to at this store is Anthony). We like any body else ,will have to but the book here. P.S. Even if the beautifull mutations found in this book are not yet avialilble in Australia, surely breeders can learn how they are arrived at from overseas, and then try to reproduce them here. Best Robert and Herecules
