Ever wanted to get together with other bird people? Here is your chance. We've started a 'Meetup' group, based in Melbourne, so that you can chat about your favourite birds. This is purely a fun social group, for more info join here cockatiel.meetup.com/4/ (no it isn't just for cockatiels) We are having our next BBQ on Sunday 14th November.

Awwww, thanks guys! I was a little hesitant in posting it at first, wasn't sure if it was the right thing to do. We are estimating about 20 people at this stage, so fingers crossed.

No problems here Kim we don't mind at all if you advertise I'm not that paronoid to think it will take away from AussieBirds, unlike other forums you have advertised on I must say, in fact i think it adds to AussieBirds Friendly Forum and the promotion of our passion. Just goes to show you why we are the friendly forum ;D.

Hello everyone
Just thought I'd pop in to say that our BBQ with our birdie friends went really well. The weather forecast wasn't nice but thankfully the weather held out enough that we could stay outside and enjoy the fresh air and the aviaries. There was a good mix of about 25 people all enjoying talking about birds in one way or another. Our dog, Topsy, stole the show though, lol. I had to make sure that no one took her home! We've decided not to hold one in December but will again in January.

Gday all,
I know it's not very timely, but the BBQ was great. Had an absolute ball with Kim and Steve and the others, of course. Yes, their puppy did steal the show...did like your bantams though.
How are you guys going? Steve, haven't heard back about whether you still wanted the african grey. :-)

Well hello there macawvic!!!!
Nice to see you found this lovely friendly forum. As my pc has been rather sick and I'm using our ancient one I haven't been keeping up on the forum but it should be fixed and up and running in the next week or so.
We're glad you enjoyed our BBQ day and we'll be having our next one this Saturday 8th Jan and we're looking forward to it of course.
Now, what is this about an african grey? I didn't hear this conversation, lol, Steve must of been up to something, lol.
