Hi Patrick, At the risk of getting into strife here there is something I think that should be pointed out. Just because a baby cockatiel has left the nest does not mean it has been weaned. The parents will continue to feed it until it learns to eat on its own. This can take 3 weeks or so. It doesn't come out of the nest and instantly know how to eat on its own and without the food the parents provide it could well slowly starve to death. I have seen many people selling babies at this age and I really have to wonder how many actually manage to struggle through and survive. I am sorry if I have upset you as that isn't my intention. I only wanted to inform you as to what actually happens in case you were unaware. Jo-Anne
