Sometimes if you look in your local paper, there are ads for people wanting to get rid of second hand pavers at a minimal price (or free). You might get what you want there.

I know the councils used to sell them for $1 each, old ones they have removed from somewhere. Worth a try if it's not too large an area

Here in the town near us if we go to the "paver' place, (I cannot think of its name........hang on i think it might be besser blocks or maybe even Hanson blocks now) you can pick up cheap seconds and sometimes even stuff they are about to throw out (maybe even for free). Have you thought of trying the "dump" also.

you could see if your local "tip" has a recycling divison.......I got some a good while back from the recyclers at my local tip, I didn't need many so I was lucky ;D

Where are you in Brisbane, ie, North, South. You could also check the Saturday shopping section of the Courier Mail. Alternatively your local paper may have the odd listing for them, you never know, take a look, you could strike it lucky.

pity you arent in adelaide.. our councils laying new footpaths and there are pallet loads of them that have been sitting on the footpath for weeks now as they cant lay them in the rain... not that Im suggesting you pinch em..hehehehe but I noticed that when they finished one area all the ones left over got dumped in a mini skip for the tip.. which is such a waste, if they just put FREE on them people would swoop on them like a seagull to a chip! I would!
try a paving place /brick company even consider taking chipped ones etc.. they would be happy to get rid of them... you can just get a bit of crushed gravel or somthing to fill in any gaps........good luck anyway

Our tip has a recycle centre attached, where we can get a lot of good, cheap stuff, including pavers, bricks etc. maybe you have one handy, which does something the same?

The Trading Post on Thursdays also has a section for second hand demolition goods. Maybe try there. My neighbours wanted to put in a new driveway and they advertised and a young couple came and took away all the pavers they had.
