Hi there
I am having a lot of trouble finding breeders of Ringnecks here in Perth. I am looking for a baby ringneck - colour and sex don't matter - must be handreared though.
If anyone can help me that would be great.
I notice there is quite a few over east breeding the ringys - I'm nervous about them being freighted though - does anyone have any good / bad experiences they can share? Is there anyone over east willing to frieght to Perth?
Thanks guys!

I was nervouse about freighting also But I'm at ease with it now, (just picked 3 up from the airport today) birds freight really well, I sent one to the NT last year it was a 10hr trip as it had to swap planes a couple of times, but it arrived fine. Just do your research on the breeder or handraiser you buy from, ask around ,there are a couple of rougues around but they are the minority, also check with your states enviromental agencies, don't know what they are called over there, here they are the Enviromental Protection Agency, as you might need a permit to import one.

Its a shame I didn't read your post earlier! I have only one left but he/she is not super tame so probably not what you are looking for. I can probably put you in touch with someone who has some if you want to PM me on this however there are usually heaps advertised in the Quokka especially at this time of year. I would be surprised if it is necessary for you to freight from the east as there are heaps around.
