Just so you know it's illegal to sell unweaned Australian native parrots. Also very much frowned upon to sell unweaned exotics although not illegal. Can't help you with breeders I'm afraid.

Yes Mary is right If you want a young bird for training, book in advance and notify the breeder while it's still young and not weaned that you are interested and you will find they will be happy to start the training for you. Done this recently with an Eckie Breeder from Albury and they were happy to socialize it in the family before the sale and weaned it before they sold it

I'm not looking for Australian native parrots, I'm just looking for any baby parrot in general. But I can't seem to find ANY parrot breeders in the NT. NONE WHATSOEVER.
We obtained Bicki my lovebird from my mum's friend, she's not a breeder, it was just a coincidence that they had babies.

You must have some idea what type of bird you would like/dislike is this bird for you to keep as a companion? You will find Lovies do not take well to sharing there companion humans.

I just want another parrot, there are NO BIRD BREEDERS in the NT, just wondering if anyone knows any bird breeders.
Also, Bicki has bonded with me quite well, I find them very loveable.

After some searching I've found 2. I have no idea what they breed or what they're like. It's a starting point and you'll find breeders often know each other anyway so can refer you to others. I'm obviously neither recommending or not recommending as I have no idea what they're like either way.
Arnhem Aviaries Unit 6, 9 DeLatour St Coconut Grove NT 0810
Feathered Friends Bird Haven Hand raised birds PO Box 541 Humpty Doo NT 0836
You may be able to find their phone numbers in the phone directory.

Please let us know how you get on. I also know a reasonable number of breeders here in SA who will freight and would be happy to check any birds out for you. Gives me an excuse to see more babies.

i know itss a little late, but i have just the breeder for you. they are called Top end companion birds, and the specialize in parrots, particularly macaws, but also a wide variety of other birds, which i think might be some of the longer living birds, as well as a few reptiles as well.

I know of a couple of breeders, but I doubt they sell unweaned birds. Have you handraised before? It's not something 'easy' or 'simple'. And contrary to popular belief, it won't help the parrot bond to you better.
