Hi All, Finally picked up my new pastelface hen. She is cinnamon-pastelface-pearl split whitface poss pied and/or fallow. She is a beautiful big bird, I only hope she likes my scrawny cin-pastelface cock bird. He's about 1/2 her size, so he could be double-factor. Can't wait to see what they throw as he is carrying pied maybe carrying pearl and lutino. I'll have to wait and see if he's carrying whiteface as well but there weren't any other whiteface or pastelface in the clutch he came from (I don't know what his parents were). I'm really hoping he is carrying lutino!! - Happy Claire p.s the w/f eggs were all clear, but the pair is down again.

Just did some calculations ... the male is most likely carrying w/face or singlefactoor depending how you look at it.
His parents should have been something like:
Cin/L+Prl+Pa+pd cock with CinLutPrl/Wf hen
But that wouldn't be 100% correct, but close enough.

Hi Claire if your male didn,t have any other Whiteface or Pastelface brother and sisters in his clutch then he can only be a singlefactor becuase he comes from split parents.Apart from other mutations that this pair carry by placing 2 single factor Pfaces together the probabilities will be 50% Pastelface/Whiteface 25% Whiteface 25% Pastelface(double factor) cheers Frank

Cool. Thanks Frank. I had already run all the possabilities through the calc. before buying the hen. I have had her on order for months!! It is so good to finally have her . I'll be happy with a singlefactor male, more variation in the clutch. The amount of splits bothers me though. I'd like to keep 'pure' strains of a mutation, but that is near impossible these days.
