Where do the red eyes come in Bill, they are red form what I can see, they are not open yet but you can see the red.

Hi John Bill is spot on with the genetics,the chick in your hand wouldn,t be any more than 5-6dys old keep checking regularly as you be amazed what they get up to dont let the parents bother you too much as after a while they become accustomed to your inspections cheers Frank

john it is the shading of the eyes under the protective skin covering the eyes when it is like your baby then in most cases they are red and if it was a dark patch then it would be black eyes regards bill
