Two of my tiels have laid eggs at the back of a log..they were in the log and they have moved them out and to the back..The dad is in a nest box, I'm not sure if there trying to get the eggs into the nest box...But one has hatched, he was in the middle of the aviary floor..I put it with the eggs and mom is sitting on him...He's snow white..I won't disturb them tonight, but I'll keep checking..should I move him into the nest box...I got a shock when I saw him...The other eggs look fertile and probably not far from hatching...

Hi Jill go out and check where the hen is sitting tonight and place the chick and fertile eggs with the hen or it will chill and die,if its not too dark dont worry about disturbing the parents as they will return sounds like the chick is a whiteface if has white down cheers Frank

Thanks Frank, The baby is tucked under it's mother now, with the rest of the eggs, on the floor of the aviary behind the nest box.. I have made a box with a floor and four sides which I will place under them all tomorrow morning..Stop baby from wandering..Mother hen was on the chat..Only because he is so white that I spotted him in the middle of the aviary floor, I was a bit shocked..he was cold but still alive and cheeping...Thanks again..I can't wait till morning to see if he's still ok..

Mom had arranged the eggs in a circle around him. He couldn't go anywhere..I moved the hen away and his head was up and he was cheeping away..The box I made was too big..I didn't have time to do another this morning..so I used a small card board box, and put pine shavings around on the bottom..Will this be ok for the time being..I put mom back on the floor to make sure she was ok with it..She went to him, gave him a nudge. The went to have a feed herself...
