Do they live happily together? I thought male neophemas didn't go very well together, were inclined to fight with each other? Perhaps that is only when there is a girl to fight over!?

hello all it has been my experance that you can keep several pairs in one avairy with out them fighting you just have to make sure that they have plenty of nesting areas i have allow one each and one extra for every 2 pairs in the cage and i also have found that all the neophemas live well together regards bill

Yes Bill i agree with you just make sure they have lots of nesting boxes to chose from, the two to one ratio sounds about right, and providing they have a a bit of room they will be fine.

Hi Everyone, It's worth mentioning here that it's best not to keep some species together and not because they fight Species such as Elegant's and Turquoisine Parrot's shouldn't be kept together because they crossbreed all too readily, Turquoisine and Scarlet's are also a combination that may lead to crossbreeds and Bluewings with any of the above can lead to mixed breed's. If you are considering keeping any of these species of Neophema, PLEASE keep this in mind because every time I go to Bird Shop's and some Dealers these days I see more and more cross-species and if they are young bird's and not fully feathered it's not always easy to pick Cheers Tony
