Hi, I have a 3-4mth old 'albino' cockatiel that I'm pretty sure is a girl. She's not H/R but she's in with my H/R 1 yr old male. He's always been a good judge of sexing a baby for me and they're now preening each other as well. Would that make her a girl??? Now I'm confused... she's chattering away like a boy!!! Is it common for a girl to do this? Or is it common for two boys to preen each other????

Hi Jacqui it's not uncommon for two males to preen each other and become best of mates hens very rarely chatter buts it's not the rule! does sound like your Albino is a bloke are you sure you have an Albino and not a Wface Platino cheers

What's the diff? It's all white with red eyes. The tail looks a bit dirty at the very outside, but I thought it was from the pet shop cage/box she was in. She/he's been very quiet for the 2 wks I've had it inside, yesterday was the first time I heard it.

Jacqui a Wface Platino is an off white with a Sandy wash thru the wings and tail feathers with red eyes that darken after a while. Albinos are very bright white! mature males darken as they get older with the same sandy wash it does get a bit confusing cheers Frank
