My sisters tiel is driving me nuts it keeps sqauwking almost all day the only way i can shut her up is turn the music on full ball. My sister doesn't handle her much at all once or twice a day for 30minutes. My tiels are so quiet cause there out almost all day.My sisters tiel always starts sqauwking at 6am in the morning and gets my lovebirds going they don't sqauwk until i get up. This morning i got sick on it and put her bed in my sisters room with her and her cat. She turns and says that my sun conure is going to sqauwk that early in the morning like i said i will be having them all out almost all day so he/she won't have anything to sqauwk about. So how can i get my sisters tiel to stop sqauwking. To me i think its best for her to get rid of it since she doesn't spend time with her.But i know she won't she would rather it sqauwk and piss me off then give it a proper home.

Hi Tara, usually getting a tiel out twice a day for 30 minutes is enough time out to be handled. On saying this I rekon your sisters tiel is making so much noise coz it wants to be out too with your birds. It knows there are other birds in the house & probably wants to be where the action is. How to solve the problem is another question. I think maybe you & your sister maybe need to sit down & try to resolve the problem. The only way I know to settle a bird down that continually makes heaps of noise is to cover it till it calms down. Perhaps you could also talk to your sisters bird to let it know it is not alone. It is probably suffering from lonliness , hence all the noise. Hard one to solve Tara. Cheers Anna

thanks anna i surpose she sees angel and rebal out and wants to come out as well. I handle my birds 3 times a day for an hour or more. first handling i handle them both. then the next 2 handlings they get one on one attection. they are out most of the day i only put them back in there cages for something to eat and drink or when i'm out of the room or going out.
