I got a new cockatiel today and am not sure what you'd call his/her colours. Or how to tell if she's a he or her...lol. I was told the bird would roughly be about 2-3 months old, supposidly... Anyone care to help out a begginer?!  |

is there any chance of a pic from behind as i belive it is a cinnamon pearl but carnt be sure till we can see the back

yes i would say cinnamon pearl
if it starts losing the pearling it is a male
nice looking as well

Hey Emma Bill hit the nail on the head your Tiel is a Cinnamon-Pearl and at this stage gives every indication will be a hen by the formation of the pearls, cheers  Frank |

in most cases beyween 9 and 12 months
is he /she hand reared

By 3-4 mths old if a male will be singing continually and strutting his stuff but i'm 90% confident its a hen she will remain quiet and petite like all women lol ;D

Yeah it's hand reared, I just put it in it's new cage and it's screeching and pacing... Which would mean what?? Lol, I'm so new to the cockatiel scene...lol
Like a woman?? Ick, you don't know me then...lol

it sounds normal as he /she is in a new place and may take a day or so to get use to it

Yeah she's an awesome lil bird. Doesn't like anyone else in the family, bit like my lori... While I'm on the Pc, she sits on the end of the bed, she's an awesome lil bird.. |

monts is like that...he's actually too attached to me..we're suffering separation anxiety with him right now lol... he's such a sweetie...but he loves everyone else as well..but at the end of the day he'll come to his mummy the most ;D
