I have had a second hen sitting on 4 eggs over the last 20 odd day I was thinking that they were infertile but i let her sit and today while cleaning the aviaries out I took a peek in the box and here were three little balls of fluff and one egg still in the box. Mum is a pearl hen and Dad is a Pied. The eldest baby is. I would guess. three to four days old and a nice size the youngest is around two days so I am holding a great deal of hope for it to hatch too. I can start to worry about these little ones now ;D I love having babies.

Way to go John. There is nothing like looking in a nest box & finding baby birds there. Mind you once I know there are babies there, I can't help myself & have to check at least twice a day ;D ;D I am so happy for you. John, tiel babies at last but wasn't it worth the wait. Cheers Anna

More baby tiels congratulations. How are the other babies going? What do you do with the babies, do you sell them or keep them as pets?

Hi Laraine, The White face babies are still in the nest box and are only around 3 weeks old at the moment. I will be selling them eventually they are looking really great and healthy at the moment they are fully feathered and love being handled.

The two new babies are 10 days old now and have their eyes open I THINK i may have a Lutino, have to check when the light is better. They are starting to get a little tuft on the top of their little heads and are looking good. Pictures to follow soon.
