Well the time has come, i'm going to get a mate for little Monty who is now almost 1 year old... it won't be a mating partner, just a friend because she has separation anxiety from us. I'm looking for a baby boy...anything that can assure me i get a boy coz i have tried twice and they both turned out to be female and i may breed them in a couple of years when i have more time... I'm in Sydney

Hi Jo, well I'm sure there's going to be lots of babies in the next couple of months, & I'm sure someone here will be able to help you, although I would have to say unless the baby tiel is dna sex it would be pretty hard to guarentee a boy baby. Are you looking for a h/reared one? Hope all goes well for you & you find a boy for your Monty. Cheers Anna

hey john they are beautiful birds! but i do have to be honest and say i'm not the hugest fan of the darker colours and pearls... i would prefer a lighter one, monts is a platinum hen.. i saw today a whitefaced cinammon pied and it was gorgeous..

Hi Jo as the Whiteface Cinnamon Pieds are stunning birds if your intention is to eventually breed this paring is unsuitable as Cinnamon and platinum produce a very cacky color which is not recomended by most breeders possibly a platinum or Lutino or albino male would be a better choice and produce good breeding results along with the lighter variety colored tiels you mentioned cheers ;D
