I have a whiteface cockatiel cock paired with a lutino hen with 2 eggs. They were in an aviary with another pair who have babies just out of the nest. Yesterday I noticed that the whiteface cock is drooping it's wing and shaking a lot. I suspected he might have been getting bullied by the other male so I have moved them into a separate aviary. Any other ideas on what has caused it he is still bright enough and eating but just hanging his wing down. Thank Bev

Hi Ollie, not 100% sure but could be that your male might have hurt his wing as males will chase each other all around the aviary defending their nest box. Removing them to another aviary was the right thing to do as males become very territorial at breeding time. Due to lack of aviary space I have 2 pairs of tiels & the males are chasing each other all around the aviary, defending their boxes, that they have chosen. I am going to remove 1 pair today as one of my pairs are very young & don't want anything to happen to them. Hope this helps, Anna

My Wolfie is still hanging his wing but otherwise seems OK. Because I moved them she has gone off the eggs but that can't be helped I was going to put them under my other hen but her eggs are a bit further advanced. I hope it will be OK I will give him a few more days and if it's not coming good I'm off to the vet.

Hi ollie I've seen this once before on a Tiel that suffered a mild stroke similar to humans where 1 side of the body doesn't respond as normal but yet didn't affect it's flying capacity! Frank
