I tend to agree with Jeremy Bill not too sure about the Dutch Blue Pied and it will become more evident as the birds get older.

I was a bit hesitant in saying it was a Dutch Blue, i have Dutch Blues but mine have one dark factor so their colouring is darker than Bills bird. At this stage, it is definitely a blue series bird (Dutch Blue, Whiteface Blue, Seagreen) It's definitely not a Seagreen so it looks to be either Dutch blue or Whiteface blue

Sorry to hear about the blue baby, Bill. It's so unfortunate when things like this happen. For what it's worth, the baby probably was not pied. It appeared to have a black splotch on its beak and pieds don't have that.

Linda, the bird appeared to be lightly pied (hence the small bit of yellow on the head) All my pied babies have a bit of black on their beaks.
Bill, i'm sorry to hear about that, it's hard to lose a baby, especially at that age, i hope things get better at your place soon
