I am off tomorrow to have a look at some peach face with the view to purchasing a couple of pairs. I have been thinking about this move for quite some time even though I am not a stranger to Love Birds, I had a large collection of Fisher's, It will be a new experience as far as Peachies are concerned. I am not in any hurry and I intend to be very selective in the colours I am going to get, Ill post pictures as soon as I can.

Peachies are great John. When and if you do get some, post some pics. I can help out with identifying the mutations as well

I can help out with identifying the mutations as well Do you have any hints for me Jeremy I'm looking forward to getting them as I said I have been thinking about it for some time now and I have been fascinated with the mutations you can get with them, the colours are much more varied than the other types of Love Birds, and who knows I might actually crack a good one. There are heaps of mutations out there. Nice birds to look out for are Pallid (formerly known as Australian Cinnamon), Blue series Edged Dilute (some people call them Silver Cherry : Primrose. They are all very nice birds, good luck with your choices, i look forward to the pics ;D

Well i came home empty handed I had a look at a one pair, supposedly, and was very suspect of them they were very thin and a colour i have never seen before, they were dark on their body, almost black, and had a bright orange strip across the head, not your usual peach face markings, the guy offered them to me for $20 each but my gut feeling told me no I will look for a picture and see if i can find the mutation, I'm off to my mates place today and i will see what he is offering.

I thought they were slate's Jeremy but they were very tiny and thin so I gave them a miss. My mate was very helpful and told me to hang on for about a week and he will have some nice pied birds. I would rather buy from him as he is pretty good and I do want pairs, he is pretty reliable in picking the difference so I think Ill stick with him.

What colours does your mate breed? He has all colours Jeremy he is just a hobby breeder that likes the colours you can get with the paechies he sells most of his stock to a bird shop but I will deal directly with him. He is like me if it is a nice colour I like it, although they tell me they are very addictive John

Hey Jeremy I checked out your website...............nice pictures. I love the blue and grey IRN's and the peachfaces, are they baby peaches in your hands? So cute!!!! ;D Yes, all the Peachies in my hands are babies. I don't realy socialize them that much, i usually check on babies every 3 days and pick them up to see their colours. But it actually helps tame them down a bit, once they wean i put them in a large aviary. I can catch them 6 months later and they still don't bite me
