My friend has a pair of Peach Faced lovies that have a chick. My friend told me today at school that one of the lovebirds have lost its plumage a bit. Does any one know if this is normal or not?

How old is the lovie? It might just be moulting. They tend to look quite scruffy during moults. :3

If it is the hen that has lost some feathering it could just be that she has been plucking herself to line the nest as birds that have a naked abdomen find it a lot easier to regulate heat for incubation. It also means the eggs are being 'batored' at a higher temp. All perfectly natural
