Our Dear Angel Passed Away Today (TrueLoveAviary)

My heart is absolutely broken today. My sweet creamino peach-faced lovebird Angel died in my hand today. I was taking care of the babies in the kitchen and she ran under my feet trying to get my attention. Then my foot came down on her. I took her to Dr. Burkett. Dr. Burkett gave her a steroid and took x-rays. No bone or nerve damage. He told me to take her home and give her meds. While I was still in the parking lot, she became very weak. I rushed her back in, but all I had time to do was hold her in the nursery while she passed away. So much pain and regret I feel. Tamara and I are mourning the lost of our child; our baby girl. Even as a baby she wanted to be with us holding her instead of the warmth of her brooder. I'm so depressed, so very depressed...

OMG. that is just absolutely terrible.........and the way it happened too. Just shows accidents can and do happen even with the greatest of care.

I must say when i first read the heading I nearly passed out as I thought it was Roberts Angel.

So sorry Rodney to read your post on Angel passing. As Tracey said accidents do happen and you did all you could to save her.
Tracey I also held my breath when I read the topic thinking it was Roberts Angel.
