Depends on what you mean by 'best', everyone has their favourites Eyering lovebirds are apparently more likely to go wild than peachfaces, though that tends to come down to the individual bird, which is why peaches are more popular as pets.

No contest: Peach-faced Lovebirds! They are not high-strung like the eye-rings (they are also a bit calmer.) The females actually still make great pets. Not only do you get the rich colors of the green series, but you get the beautiful pastels also. Peachies are the most intelligent of the lovebirds and really seem like they have the intelligence of an amazon but in a smaller package. Their faces are more expressive and delicate when compared to the eye-rings. And let me say, "Peach-faces love to be petted if they are well-socialized!" Overall, Peach-faces just seem more domesticated than all the others. ~Rodney

Peachfaced love birds tend to be a little noiser and more confident than their eyed ring cousins. But they all have their own personalities which make these birds so great!!

Akira's incredibly confident, and I think it's absolutely a good thing! She gets into everything -just the other day she dove headfirst into my glass to find out what I was drinking (just apple juice). She'll say hello to anyone and everyone, and is always taking off to visit people. (Including one of my housemates who isn't big on birds -but Akira's decided she's part of the flock, and that's that!) Caspian's an aviary bird -he wasn't hand-raised, and isn't really tame, but I still have pictures of him asleep in my hands, and he's friendlier than most 'tame' budgies I've met. Life's never boring with a peachface The 'which is best' tends to be a loaded question, so I wasn't sure how to go about answering it, haha. Everyone will have their favourite, and often for different reasons. Peachies can be quite vocal, which I think of as a positive, but obviously a lot of people won't!
