I saw a Rainbow Lorikeet today at a pet and produce store and it had purple blobs over its collar and down it's back. I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this bird, i think it was Pied but it could have been a hybrid of some sort

I'm guessing a high bred Jeremy but it is only a guess. It would be easier to tell with a picture, which i understand isnt possible, Did the people at the shop offer any explanation?

Hi Frank, i have the current Birdkeeper and the photos are amazing but none of the bird in there look like the one i saw. I have also come to the conclusion that the bird i saw was not hybrid or pied, it may have just been a condition or the feathers will probably dissapear after its first moult
