I am looking at getting a lorikeet and was wondering which one makes the best pet. What are the pro's and con's of the different kinds, rainbows, musks, scaleys etc.

Jules they are make great pets and they have many pluses, unfortunately they have minuses too, they are noisy and messy unlike a normal bird they dont.......... ummmmm do a normal poo they squirt and usually all over you they like to squawk a lot and can get a bit nippy at times they tend to be a one person bird and will bond with one person in the family. On the plus side they are attractive and very funny, they are really clowns and will give you many, many hours of fun. All in all I love them and I think the pluses far out way the minuses.

Thanks John, the poo doesn't bother me as I'm used to it, magpies are very pooey birds LOL.
