Hi everyone!! Its me again. I have another question. Do anyone of you use or make home made nectar? Ive been researching throught the web and found some american sites that encourage making home made nectar. They are mainly sugar base for humming birds. Would that be safe for our lorikeets? or maybe honey diluted with water??? can anyone shed some light into this for me. My local wildlife park have some kind of water bottle hanging in their aviary. I think its a bottle used for rabbit hutches. Thanks again guys!!!! Im really doing well with my rainbow lory. His name is gumnut. Hear from you guys soon.

I would be very careful making your own nectar Tonyo, I suggest you stick with the commercial brand as the hand made stuff can be a bit upsetting to your bird. If you get the Lori mix you can mix it to your own consistency but you will at least be sure it is correct.
