very nice birds Peter Are scaley's native to Australia?? The reason I ask is I had a conversation a couple of months ago about some birds that dwell in a shopping plaza in the town closest to me and people where complaining about the noise and the mess..............the council has cut the huge leopard trees down now to solve that problem but the woman I was talking to said they were not the normal lorikeets we get here .....that these ones were mostly all green and native to Australia? I had meant to ask this ages ago but forgot until now.

Yes they are native to australia, but i do know many lorrikeets have been introduced to different places in australia where they are not normally found. Scaly's are found along the east coast of australia from north tip of queensland, to south of sydney.

Love the scaleys, just the sweetest little critters.
A lot of people have no idea where different species of birds are from.

My little Pickles is a scaley... He is only 8 months old though so not fully grown yet... the scaleys you have are beautiful, it makes me even more excited about when he will be fully grown and as beautiful as them!
