hello all just wondering what everybody thoughts are on a good cage size for a pair of ringnecks regards bill

hi is big as you can get bill. for a breeding pair or just 2 to keep as pets. i would say about 1m wide by 1 metre deep by 1.5 - 2m high. thats the size what i have the 2 alexs on that i am raising now. jamie

Hi Bill, If you are considering a suspended aviary, I would suggest a length of 2-5m, a height of 1-2m or 4 foot width wire, it makes construction fairly easy, not many joins in the wire, and a width of 1-2m, this width makes acess easier and leaves lots of room for nestboxes etc. If a ground aviary, the only difference would be the height. Its just my opinion, but for Parrots that size I think a flight of 2-5 to 3m is an ideal size for proper exercise of the birds. Hope this helps, Cheers..Tony

or for a aviary size i would use a 1.2 metre wide 3.5 long by 2 m high thats what i would se.
