last season I bought a couple of chicks for handraiseing off a guy who had about 8 pairs all colony breeding in one large aviary, he just had a heap of breeding logs (probebly 10 or 12) scattered around the back of the aviary, we are shifting soon and will have to build new aviaries for our 2 pairs of ringnecks, I'm wondering if we should just build on large aviary instead of 2 seperate ones, anyone out there have any advise on this, need pros and cons, as I said it will only be 2 pairs, and the genetics of both hens and cocks would mean it doesn't matter if they choose their own mates as I will get the same result either way.

i would suggest putting them in seperate cages, you can colony breed ringneck but you have to have more than two pairs and have double the amount of nest boxes
