hi guy, just wondering what prices the pet shops are selling there handraired ring necks for.. going on last year, and i know pet shops vary but: blue - $280 grey - $400 albino - $ 450 lutino - $160 (cheapest) greygreen - $180 there wasn't any cinn range last year however may be some this year - what price range do you think they will start from? and pastel as well? i realise we get peanuts for our handraired birds, but yes i suppose pet shops need to make money too, so whats happening near you? cheers Wayne oh these prices are from central Queensland

our pet shops haven't had any ringnecks for months and months but those prices are so very cheap! Townsville never gets anything more than blue, green and lutino. and geen is cheapest at about 200+

I have 3 r/necks I am h/raising at moment, prices have dropped, but I hope to get at least $250 -$350 for mine. parents r gold olive (H) & sky blue(C) Babies should be any of the following: silver, cinnamon, blue/cinnamon, maybe gold olive I too would like to know if I am right with my prices. Pet shops are much dearer of course.......but prices u put are cheaper than our local pet shops sell theirs for. Shelly

what sort of money do the petshops offer you.... i sold a grey handraired bird last year, i sold it for 300 and the petshop sold it for 400, thats not to bad i thought, previously to that another petshop offered me 250, but he was going to put 650 on the bird - to me that is ridiculous.. ive got 14 babies at the moment all to handrare.. so hopefull i can sell them... chrischell, a little tip if you didnt all ready know, but when you look at your babies if they have clear toenails, they are defientley cinn line. ie; silver, skyblue, cinn, gold olive... but with your pair you should breed all the cinn range in both coks and hens, and you wont have any split cocks or straight hens.... cheers if they have dark toenails they are not in the ino, cinn or lacewing line and would be either a blue, grey and splits etc...
