welcome to this forum...........I cannot help you with the gentics but I am sure someone will be here soon. We have a couple of people here who seem to know a lot about this sort of stuff.

A split refers to a sex linked or recessive gene. The bird is carrying that particular gene but not visually. Meaning, the bird has that gene in its genetic make-up but you just can't see it.
Green/Blue Cock x Lutino Hen =Green/Blue/Lutino Cocks = Green/Blue Hens
Sorry, i can't help you with the others if you don't know what they are split to.

In that case, you will get from the other 2 pairs:
Green/Blue Cock x Blue Hen = Green/Blue Cocks & Hens = Blue Cocks & Hens
Green/Blue Cock x Grey Green hen = Green Cocks & Hens = Green/Blue Cocks & Hens = Blue Cocks & Hens = Grey Green Cocks & Hens = Grey Green/Blue Cocks & Hens

I was looking at some Grey ring necks on the weekend they were only babies and he was asking $200 each for them he said that was cheap and the actual going price was $400 each, is that right?

I sold a h/r Grey this year for $150. There is someone selling them for $75 on Petlink.
About 3 years ago they were $400 each but they are worth next to nothing nowadays

That's what I was thinking Jeremy I thought they were over priced to blazes, but then this is a shop and he does tend to overprice his birds.

I saw grey IRN 2 weeks ago while in Brisbane at a "big" pet shop for just under $300 (I think that was the price).

hi I sold handraired blues for 160 grey for 180, skyblue and silver for 220.. lutino for 70 untamed babies - about 40 bucks is all you will get for lutinos, and 50 - 60 for blues and greys.. petshops were only offering me 60 for handraired blues and greys and selling them for 300+.. really makes you wonder - personally myself i would rather a breeder than a petshop any day to purchase new birds.. you should get what you pay for then.
