I am thinking about getting a pair of indian ringnecks to put in my aviary and have a few questions to ask about them. Do they chew wire much? What birds do they get along with? What would you get if you crossed a Latino with a green ringneck? And how big does the aviary have to be to breed them?
Going off the topic my cockateils have laid some eggs and my pigeons have two squabs. One of my chooks have the cutest chicks. Today I helped some out the egg. They are soooooo cute!!!

hi there Roxy, I have a pair of ringnecks that are on eggs ta the moment. this is the first time they have bred for me (sooo exciting!!) I have them in an aviary that is 2 meters high x 2 long x 1.5 wide and they are realyy happy there. They chew on the wire a fair bit but i think its just to try and get to my budgies that are in the aviary next to them!! I have fairly heavy gauge wire and I have never had a problem with them chewing thru it. I had king quails in the bottom of the avaiary for a while but when the quail bred the ringnecks used to pick up the babies and then drop them again. I even found one of the baby quails in the ringneck's water dish one time! Thats about all the help i can offer as I am only fairly new to ringnecks too! hope all goes well for you!

Ringnecks (well the asiatic type anyway) are avid chewers. They will chew anything and I would not put them in an aviary with any other bird either as I think they are a bit on the nippy side too. Just my opinion and I am not a bird breeder either.
