I am getting 2 pair of White-Eye (Silvereyes) for a new aviary i am going to build into my Garden.
They are a great softbill and i would encorage everyone to get a pair

We used to have flocks of them in the wild around here but the Magpies and Curawongs cleaned them out and thats a pity, I used to enjoy watching them flitting among the trees.

They are lovely little birds til they start eating all the cherries off my tree.

lol well ctach em up and send em this way, LOL, na they are one of the cheapest softbills (excluding finches) around $40 a pair here

I don't think I've even seen them for sale here as they're pests in the orchard areas but very cute ones. We have a bird bath that they love swimming in. They share it with the new holland honeyeaters, scarlet robins, willy wagtails, fairy wrens and even the occasional red wattlebird. They all seem to get on fine together.

Yes in SA they are considered pests aswell, but they are commonly kept as they do not require a permit, neither do Noisy Miner, New Hollan H-Eaters, and many many other softbills,
