I went out thismorning to check on my budgie avairy and to my shock I had no silver kings in the bottom of it. Yesterday morning there were 3 hens sitting on eggs and a cock and today there is nothing but a lot of feathers arounf the aviary and a big hole (where I am guessing a lizzard or something burrowed in and had a midnight feast) All of the eggs have gone aswell so Im fairly dissapointed about that. The eggs were due to start hatching this week oh well....that just gives me more of a reason to pull my finger out and get a cement slab laid to put the aviary on. I have been wanting to do it for ages but it keeps just getting put off...Im off to bunnings today to get the cement mix!!

I don't envy you concreting in this heat Katie, do you have the awful humidity we are getting in brissy? Its been over 60% all week, not good weather for cleaning avairies and mowing and everything else that needs doing. Very sorry about your Quails My parents have always had that problem with foxes digging in, one night they killed 14 chooks, so now Dad has made a snake and fox proof chook pen.

I am sorry to hear about that Katie and I don't envy you having to cement in this heat either. It has been stinking hot here too. While I have been painting I have had to add a bit of water in the container all the time as the paint was thickening too quickly and I could vertually paint over the wall almost immediately the second coat Humidity is at 68% at the moment but it is almost 9pm and a bit cooler (sun is set ;D )
