I would say that the male is split to pearl, lutino and possibly pied. The hen may be the one that is split to pied instead of the male. the chicks that have yellow on the heads and wing bars would be split to pied I would think. Jo-Anne

sorry Frank people often get confused after speeking to me the yellow wing spots are on the flight feathers only they have them under the flight feathers and on top of the flight feathers but there is no yellow on the rest of the bird so far, but it is coming through on the face along with orange cheeks now if they were six/ eight months old I would of thought they were normal greys but the oldest baby is only just 4 weeks old and the other 2 are younger , they also have gotton these dark feet from some where , but its only the top of the feet that is dark , the sole of the foot is pink , would a pied gene do this ? tanya

Ok Tanya i think we're on the right wave length now obviously the bird is a normal grey with a very light pied markings although it's highly likely that it's only split pied. hence the amount of yellow on the head and face as a juvenile. Like Jo-anne said the dad is split to lutino ,lutino pearl and pied if you have had pearl male chicks mum must be a pearl. cheers Frank

pearl hen , male grey split to pearl, lutino, lutino/pearl & pied I get pearl males and females , lutino females , lutino/pearl females now the pied gene is not sex linked and you say the babies are normal grey split to pied does that mean some of them could be female ??
or can this pair only have males that are grey Tanya
