My teil is just a standard grey but do they have a particualar name for them & how do I tell a female from a male (besides the brightness of the cheeks). From what I heard from some of my friends my bird sounds like he is a she. Can anyone help me with this.

Hi Kim the normal grey Cockatiel male description is simply Normal.They will develop a bright yellow face mask after their juvenile moult around 6mths old but until then the only method is behaviour patterns one of which is usually a repeative song along with the raising of the wings and bowing of the head all at the same time! if you have photos email them to me for verification cheers Frank
