Merry my sweet little girl is a lutino, red eyes and all that plus the small bald patch, have noticed since her moult that the yellow on her back and secondaries have gone pale yellow to nearly white, her main flights are bright yellow with yellow head and crest, would this be her true colours now coming thru? she is just over 12mths old.

Hi Deb Merry will probably remain that way as she is female although am I detecting some pied in her, a photo would be handy, male Lutino's darken and develop a sandy wash as they get older also the Lutino Pieds in both sexes seem to retain the brightness of the red eye which red eyes indicate a form of Albinism cheers Frank

Hi Frank, photos as requested ;D.... .. .. Silly flash on the camera makes her lighter than she looks, the yellow on her head and main flights are a deeper colour the last photo is about the best, I had other picks but the little worm wont stay still

Hi Deb spotting the yellow is difficult apart from the tail but can say the tones she is showing is very true to lutino hens I dont think i can visually see any pied definitions, and as she gets older the yellows will get slightly richer!! she is georgous with a beautifull long crest!
