Can you get throw-backs in the tiel world?? I have a male cinamon-prl. I know his father was a pied and the mother was a lutino. I got him from a friend who bred him. At the time I didn't know about genetics at all, so thought nothing of it. But now, according to the genetic rules he should have least been a 'she' Any thoughts?? Jacqui

With what you are saying yes, you should have a female there..The male would have been the one to have had the cinamon jean and the pearl...But are they shore that the female is a lutino..She could have been a very heavy cin/pied...They do have plum eyes..
For if you do have a male there for shore...My guest this mite be the answer....but also the pearling is another thing..The female cannot be spilt for this to happen..or your friend mite have had more them one pair in the avairy breeding..And some other bird had laid in the box as well...

If there has been no hanky-panky with other pairs and you are confident that it is a male then the mother had to have Cinnamon in her visual make up and that could have been a Lutino Cinn Prl Cannot be that mum is total Revers Cinn pied because you dont mention the cock is Pied and dad has to be split Cinn and Prl to produce a male from that pairing that is Cinn prl cheers Frank
