hello petiel going on the info you have provided and taking the babies that you have mentioned i belive that your male is a pied whiteface split cinnamon and the female is cinnamon whiteface split pied the reasoin being to get a whiteface cinnamon pied both perants have to have the cinnamon and the pied gean and it doesnt matter whether it is visual or split and taking all that into consideration the babies you mentioned can be either male or female hope this helps regards bill

Hi Pauline, for any babies to be visual w/face pieds both parents must carry the gene & if your female is not split for pied then all babies male & female would be visual w/face but possibly split for pied. The same would be to get any visual w/face cinnamon pieds, the male would have to carry the split for cinnamon, & the female would have to carry the split for pied, otherwise you would still get visual w/face possibly split for pied in both males & females & the male babies could also be possible split for cinnamon. If your male was carrying the cinnamon gene then you could get male & female visual cinnamon w/face babies Confusing at times isn't it. Hope this helps. Cheers Anna

Hi Pauline, Sorry about the confusion. If you already have visual cinnamon pied babies then your male must be split for cinnamon , then the cinnamon pied babies could be either male or female. Same for the w/face pied babies, they could be either male or female. Hope this clears this up. Cheers Anna

The last post by Anna is correct! Bill you dont need both parents to carry Cinnamon to produce a Cinnamon as it being sex linked a Cinnamon male will produce a cinnamon female cheers Frank

yes frank i agree if the male has cinnamon then thay can produce cinnamons but in the combination that was set down and the babies produced then the male has to be split cinnamon as the females even being cinnamon can not produce cinnamons or is that wrong regards bill

That is correct Bill the male must be split to Cinnamon and with the hen also being Cinnamon then the sex of the chicks cannot be determined as they all carry the Cinnamon gene in this and all carry the pied gene cheers Frank
